Writing Tips
Writing this document makes my stomach feel weird. I feel like a phony. I’m a struggling writer myself trying to make a solid name for myself and it feels a little arrogant to start handing out writing tips.
I’ve solely made a living as a writer since 1996. I’ve worked on everything from technical white papers to stories to even video games. However, I still feel like I’m learning new things every day.
Along the way, I’ve learned a couple of tricks and methods that have helped me write and sell short stories and this workshop is going to focus on that aspect of writing. We’re going to run through a couple of exercises that have helped me on my journey as a writer.
These methods might help you write awesome stories and sell them. If that happens, feel free to dedicate a story to me.
However, I should warn you that these exact methods and exercises might not work for you. That’s OK. The point of this workshop is to learn from what others do and see if you can forge your own way to wordsmithing glory.
